Survey Reveals Just How Many People Actually "Love" Their Job

While we keep hearing about the “Great Resignation” folks aren’t necessarily leaving because they hate their jobs. In fact, a new survey finds a lot of people actually love their gigs.

The poll by Motivosity and conducted by OnePoll finds:

  • 69% of people say they “love” their current job.
  • 41% actually call it their “dream job.”
  • More men than women love what they do for a living (82% vs. 59%).
  • Three-fourths of those polled say they must love their job to have a fulfilling career.
  • The most common reasons folks love their job include:
    • Clients and co-workers they interact with (44%)
    • Your roles and responsibilities (39%)
    • The ability to maintain a good work/life balance (39%)
    • The industry they work in (34%)
    • Manager/boss (30%)

But many are worried their feelings about their job may eventually change.

  • 63% of people are worried about getting burned out.
  • Some of their biggest concerns include:
    • Increasing workloads (45%)
    • Stressors unique to a particular industry (40%)
    • Lack of work/life balance (37%)
