While we keep hearing about the “Great Resignation” folks aren’t necessarily leaving because they hate their jobs. In fact, a new survey finds a lot of people actually love their gigs.
The poll by Motivosity and conducted by OnePoll finds:
- 69% of people say they “love” their current job.
- 41% actually call it their “dream job.”
- More men than women love what they do for a living (82% vs. 59%).
- Three-fourths of those polled say they must love their job to have a fulfilling career.
- The most common reasons folks love their job include:
- Clients and co-workers they interact with (44%)
- Your roles and responsibilities (39%)
- The ability to maintain a good work/life balance (39%)
- The industry they work in (34%)
- Manager/boss (30%)
But many are worried their feelings about their job may eventually change.
- 63% of people are worried about getting burned out.
- Some of their biggest concerns include:
- Increasing workloads (45%)
- Stressors unique to a particular industry (40%)
- Lack of work/life balance (37%)
