The type of story above seems to occur more often than you would think.
Check out this story that happened right here in good ol' Ohio -
Jake Bowers of Worthington, Ohio (near Columbus) was driving his family to a nearby park last week.
He saw a bag on the side of the road. He picked it up, looked inside and discovered money; a TON of it - $14,000, in fact!
Like a scene out of The Brady Bunch, Bowers did "the right thing" and turned the cash-filled bag into the Worthington police station. The authorities were able to return the bag of cash to its rightful owner.
Apparently, the person who the money belonged to, had plans to use the money to buy a car, but left the bag on his car and drove off forgetting it was up there.
No word on whether or not Jake and his family got reward money for turning the bag in. They should get at least a GRAND just for returning it!
Maybe the guy deserved to lose all the money!
